Biography

Lindsay is pursuing a doctorate in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology, along with a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at West Virginia University. She holds an M.A. in Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity with a health promotion emphasis, and a B.S. in Psychology, both from The University of Iowa. Lindsay has extensive experience working to support student-athlete mental health and well-being in collegiate settings and working with individual athletes, teams, and coaches across a wide variety of sports to enhance performance through mental skills training in areas such as self-talk, confidence, team cohesion, and goal setting. Her approach is grounded in a holistic approach to athlete wellness and performance, and emphasises psychological flexibility, acceptance, and values-driven actions to foster growth and resilience. Lindsay's research interests include perceptions of mental health and sport performance outcomes. Her dedication and passion for working with athletes are inspired by her own experiences as a collegiate cross-country and track athlete and professional cyclist. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, going to coffee shops, and spending time wither her three cats.
