Biography

Brian is pursuing a doctorate in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology, along with a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at West Virginia University. He holds an M.S. in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology from CSU Long Beach, and a B.A. in Psychology from CSU Los Angeles. Brian played collegiate soccer during his undergraduate experience and later took on a role as a college soccer coach for a community college. He has worked heavily with college student athletes via 1-on-1 interactions that focus on their well-being and academic responsibilities. Brian's research interests include the impacts of self-compassion on well-being and performance within sport. In his free time, Brian likes to go for walks in nature, try out different desserts in the area, and read fiction books.
